Australia has announced an expansion of its skilled migration program by 6,000 places to 108,500 for the 2007-08 year in a response to ongoing labor shortages.

Australia will begin to introduce biometrics as part of their immigration processes, including visa applications. The collected biometrics will include facial images and fingerprint scans. So all new registered clients should make a note of this.

A number of changes to New Zealand immigration rules will come into effect on 31 March 2008, most notably in regard to English language requirements.Under the new rules, New Zealand immigration authorities are removing requirements for applicants under the Skilled Migration Category to pre-purchase English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tuition, if needed. Pre-paid ESOL tuition was required of migrants who were not the main applicant, such as spouses.
